Central Wisconsin - December 31st, 2011
This report provided by: Larry Smith of WalleyeGuide.com
Petenwell has been very productive for walleyes and crappies along with numerous catfish fishing in 14-18 ft with rosie reds. Tips ups have been the most productive jigging has also been ok with glow spoons tipped with wax worms Most of the fish have been coming within 6 inches of bottom unless you are fishing in the timber which then the fish will be suspended thru the treetops. Ice ranges from 3-7 inches after late next week it should be pretty safe for 4 wheel travel thru most of the northern part of the lake .
