Fishing report- July & early Aug 2010
Duluth/Superior area & Lake Vermilion Fishing report
Hi Everyone,
On Monday My wife Kristin & I had a baby girl Carlin Marie Carlson. A future
muskie fishing girl!!!! Baby Carlin & Mom are doing well.
Was out yesterday with the writer from the St. Paul Pioneer Press and wow muddie
St Louis River,
But,Been a very good July and Aug for the muskie bite. We had very nice
consistent temps in July and into Aug. The Bite in July was awesome, with some
big muskies being caught almost every day. The bite has been very consistent on
Top water, Bucktails ang also gliders (Sebile) gliders have been very
good!!! 2 weeks ago got back to back 50's ith in 5 min on the same spot.
Thats always fun. One thing to remember, just cause you caught a fish on one
spot, dont leave go thru the spot one more time, and you also might catch
another one, or two...
The last week with the water temps falling and the huge amount of rain we have
had the bite has been a little tough & the St. louis river is muddy right now,
it will clear up in the next week. The Vermilion Bite has been very good too in
July, but also the last week has been tough.
Good Fishing
