Episode 23

Big Bass on Chequamegon Bay

Show Date: June 6th & 7th, 2020

Location: Chequamegon Bay, Ashland, Wisconsin

Guide: Josh Teigen [715-813-0575  | joshteigen.com ]

In 1994 a 22” size limit was implemented on Chequamegon Bay, and in recent years we’ve been able to enjoy catching big smallmouth bass just about every time we go out.  Josh Teigen is our go-to guy on the Bay, and he know where to go at any time of year.  This time of year is one of the best times, he says that the fish are shallow, and will hit artificial lures and cranks hard, and they fight even harder after they’re hooked.

Episode 24

The Buddy Trip

Show Date: June 13th & 14th, 2020

Location: Vilas County, Wisconsin

It is so fun to head north out of town with a great group of people, and go fishing.  This week's episode is our annual buddy outing, and we’re in Vilas County looking for walleye & bass, but we will adjust to catch anything, depending on the conditions.  We work the shorelines, looking mainly for walleye and bass, and we use the same baits for both.  A key advantage to having a bunch of people, is that you can all try different things, and hopefully find out what they want most.  Then you all can switch, and just have fun fighting fish!

We have fun both on and off the water.  Trips like these are where we make memories that last a lifetime.  I can’t wait to do it again!

Episode 25

Bayfield County Bass & Bluegill

Show Date: June 20th & 21st, 2020

Location: Iron River, Wisconsin

Guide: Josh Teigen [715-813-0575  | joshteigen.com ]

We’re exploring Bayfield County Wisconsin, with our guide Capt. Josh Teigen.  Josh says this area doesn’t have anywhere near as much fishing pressure as more well known areas, and that the fishing is just as good.  He also tells us that there are a lot of lakes to choose from, from the Great Lake Superior, to the myriad of inland lakes, there is always something biting, it just depends on what you want to target.

We are inland today, fishing in the Iron River area, which is Josh’s hometown, he knows this area very well.  We set out looking for bass, and get into some beautiful fish.  Then we happen to spot a few bluegills, and start targeting those.  We have a great day, catching bass and gills, sometimes in the same spot!

Episode 26

Walleye Fun in the U.P.

Show Date: June 27th & 28th, 2020

Location: Keweenaw County, Michigan

This week we're up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to celebrate a special occasion, and to catch some beautiful walleyes.

We've got a windy cold-front the morning we arrive, but the walleyes don't seem to mind. We're casting Kalin’s Jerk Minnows & Tickle Tails, and both work wonderfully. Despite the wind pushing us to one side of the lake, we get on fish, and have an absolute blast!
