Episode 44
The Wind Won’t Stop Us!
Show Date: November 1st & 2nd, 2013
Location: Sand Bay Beach Resort - Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin
Guide: Pro Guide Dale Stroschein [ 920-743-5731 | wackywalleye.com]

We film a new show every week, and we can't choose the weather.  Which is why we found ourselves in sustained 25-35 MPH wind on the bay of Green Bay with charter captain Dale Stroschein.  Dale told us that this weather isn’t fit for man nor beast, and we agree, but even with the crazy conditions - we still caught fish.

Fishing with us for this genuine Wisconsin cold-front is Kevin and Jim from Yamaha Motorsports.  Dale has us fishing on a break line just off shore, which goes from 10-18 feet.  The bottom is rock, and we’re drifting with the massive waves that crash spectacularly on the shore.  We’re casting mostly spinner-baits, and covering a lot of water, sometimes a bit too fast - needing the Mercury to get us out of a bind at the last second.

Episode 45
A Muskie Day to Remember
Show Date: November 9th & 10th, 2013
Location: Various Lakes, St. Germain - Vilas County, Wisconsin
Guide: Pro Guide Rob Manthei [715-477-2042 | robmanthei.com]

It’s not every day that you have a bite like we did with Rob Manthei fall fishing for Muskies this year.  Rob says that the sucker bite is on, and we know from past experiences that there is nothing quite like setting the hook on a sucker with a quick-strike rig.  The water temps are cooling off, which provides the perfect environment for these fat fish to chase our bait around.  We are looking for the deepest part of the lake, and fishing the edges, usually looking for rock will be your best bet.

Episode 46
Last Muskie Trip of the Year
Show Date: November 16th & 17th, 2013
Location: Hayward, Wisconsin
Guide: Pete Maina [PeteMaina.com]

This week we are ending our muskie season with Pete Maina; and special guests Jeremy Meyer of AMSOIL, Cathy Stepp who is the secretary of the Wisconsin DNR, and her colleague Dan Bowman.

Day one started with snow on the trees, and Jeremy thought we were crazy for getting into a boat to muskie fish. That attitude changed soon after he caught a massive fish weighing in around 30 pounds.  We trolled all day, but that fish was well worth it.  Day 2 was the sucker day, Dan casted to lure the fish in, and the suckers did the rest.

Episode 47
A Cold Day on Open Water
Show Date: November 23rd & 24th, 2013
Location: Lake Wisconsin, Lodi, WI
Guide: Pro Guide Dave Ehardt [414-803-7160]

Ice fishing is inching closer and closer, but with the lakes and rivers still mostly open, we’re getting one of our last chances to be in the boat with Big Dave this year.  The forecast is showing cold temps, and Dave says that the fish are staging in deep holes just before they leave to head up river from Lake Wisconsin to the Dells.  With the wind picking up, we are able to hide by the high bluffs that can be found all over Lake Wisconsin.  Among a few oddities throughout the day, we catch walleyes and saugers using live bait and blade baits.

Episode 48
Chequamegon Bay Monster Bass
Show Date: November 30th & December 1st, 2013
Location: Lake Superior, Chequamegon Bay; Bayfield, Wisconsin
Guide: Josh Teigen [715.813.0575  | joshteigen.com ]

Today we welcome a new guide to the show, Josh Teigen, who is a charter captain that guides Lake Superior and inland lakes in NW Wisconsin.  Josh is taking us out with special guest Hannah Hudson to get in some last-minute bass fishing before the ice comes.  It’s cold and windy, but the fishing is absolutely fantastic!

We are drifting across breaks looking for around 20 feet of depth.  Josh has us using a 1oz jig with a 5” Kalin’s Lunker Grub, in chartreuse color.  With the big waves that large jig will make certain that our baits are on the bottom.  Using a quick rip-jig technique, you’ll entice these jumbo bass to hit on the fall.
