Episode 31
Annual Family Fishing Adventure
Show Date: August 3rd & 4th, 2013
Location, Vilas County, Wisconsin

One of the best ways to spent time with your family is to take them fishing.  That’s way the Gillespie’s have been getting together for 12 years for a fun-filled week of fishing in northern Wisconsin.  Bending the rods is the number one mission, so we’re using a jig with a nightcrawler or a leech to target walleye or bass.  This wonderful yearly tradition gets the whole family together to enjoy northern Wisconsin, and the great fishing that goes along with it.

Episode 32
Big Kings on Lake Michigan
Show Date: August 10th & 11th, 2013
Location: Lake Michigan; Milwaukee Wisconsin
Guide: Charter Captain Brian Settele [414-559-9238 | fishchaserguideservice.com]

This week charter captain Brian Settele shows us how to catch the big king salmon that swim not too far off the coast of Milwaukee.  We love to jig for these massive fish, but with the swings in water temps, the fish can get picky about where they’re feeding at.  So, we head out a little ways to set up to troll over Brian’s hot-spots.

Episode 33
Charitable Fishing Trip
Show Date: August 17th & 18th, 2013
Location: Sand Bay Beach Resort - Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin
Guide: Pro Guide Dale Stroschein [ 920-743-5731 | wackywalleye.com]

We’re doing some good this week on the show.  We welcome four guys that were part of two different fund-raising events that raised money for good causes.  We donated a televised fishing trip, Dale donated rooms at Sand Bay Beach resort & two days of guided fishing.  One group bid on a trip to benefit the MACC Fund - The Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer. From their website “Founded in 1976, Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc. (the MACC Fund) is dedicated to funding childhood cancer and related blood disorder research.”  The other group bid on a trip to help a friends son, who has been having health issues.

We have a great group of guys, and we thank them very much for donating these causes.

Wind dictates how we fish Door County a lot, so with the wind blowing the first day, we head out to a small bay to look for the large smallmouth bass and are able to get out of the wind too.  We cast the “wacky” worm, and find some giants that are cruising in the waters that our MinnKota is pulling our boat over.

On day 2 the wind is still blowing, but we are able to get the boat out to troll for walleyes.  We use Flicker Shads with planer-boards to cover a substantial area and find where they are feeding.

Episode 34
Big Bass Non-Stop
Show Date: August 24th & 25th, 2013
Locations: Pewaukee Lake, Waukesha County, WI; Lake Delavan, Walworth County, WI
Guide: [Matt Bichanich – Pro Bass Fisherman, Uncle Josh Pork Baits – unclejosh.com]

We always expect Matt Bichanich to catch big bass for us, and so far he’s never disappointed.  So we turned up the pressure this week, and welcome his boss from Uncle Josh Pork Baits, Kurt Kellogg; to see if he can still find fish.

Matt does not let us down, fishing Lake Delavan we have an absolute blast flipping and pitching the shallow water under docks that dot the shoreline.  Matt says these fish like to hang out in the shade, and when they’re presented with a worm that floats right past, they can’t resist.  Pulling these fish out of hiding is no easy task, and they put up an amazing fight, especially when they jump!

Episode 35
The Maina Family Vacation
Show Date: Air Date: August 31st & September 1st, 2013
Location: Long Legged Lake, Ontario, Canada [longleggedlakeresorts.com]

This week we take you deep into the wilderness of Ontario Canada to a beautiful lake that is a 17,000 acre body of water expanding over a 27 mile distance.  Longlegged Lake is home to Muskie, Pike, Lake Trout, and Walleye; all of which you can catch very large versions of.

We are delighted to be guests of the Mainas, as we join them on their fishing vacation, and witness a few fishing firsts for them as well.  With all that the lake offers, we find ourselves switching species pretty often.  We fish walleye with Gulp! and PowerBait when the skies are bright blue, and switch to Lake Trout when we’ve had our fill of walleye.  For the Trout, we use our favorite jigging lure, the Vibrato.  When the clouds come in - it’s Muskie time!

Huge Thanks to North Lake Lodge for putting us up for our time there! Also thanks to the “Canadian Fish Locator” Ray King for guiding the other boat of Mainas during their stay.  We had a blast, and hope to be invited next year....
