Show Date: October 4, 2025

Location: Mississippi River, La Crosse, Wisconsin

Guide: Vince Moldenhauer [(414) 791 5534 | greatriveroutdoorsllc.com]

With summer winding down, we squeezed in one last warm-weather adventure on the Mississippi River with guide Vince Moldenhauer. Vince is on the water nearly every day, and true to form, he put us right on the fish. Joining us for this trip was Blake, who may have moved on to new chapters in life, but still treasures the chance to share a day on the water with her dad. From start to finish, the bite was nonstop — bluegills and perch keeping rods bent and smiles big. It was the perfect sendoff to summer — simple, fun, and full of fish.

Fall has finally arrived, bringing crisp air and changing colors to the Northwoods. Joining us for this trip is newly retired Brian Sticka, and we wanted to take him somewhere new — the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our good friend and pro bass angler Ron Johnson, who now calls the U.P. home, has spent the past few years exploring its countless lakes and finding hidden gems. Thanks to his scouting, we got in on an incredible bite!

We caught a great mix of walleyes and jumbo crappies, making it the perfect way to celebrate Brian’s retirement — a day full of fish, laughter, and fall memories we won’t forget.
