Montréal Muskies ’09 – Part Two
Show Date: September 5th & 6th, 2009
Location: St. Lawrence Seaway; Montréal, Canada
Guide: Pro Guide Marc Thorpe [450-433-4784 | marcthorpeguiding.com]

It’s the conclusion of our fantastic muskie trip…

It’s that time of year again folks!  We are up in the Montréal area on the St. Lawrence Seaway, with guide and friend Marc Thorpe.  Pete and Tex Maina also join us, and thank God they are along again this year!  As per usual, we are targeting the great muskellunge, and Marc has us on the spots that produce big fish.  Marc has made this body of water famous for big fish, and usually in big quantities – in other words, he’s spoiled!  That is a good thing though, as we get just a sample of what can be had all summer long on this wonderful fishery.

Marc likes to mix things up to make sure that his customers get the great esox experience that their there for.  We start out casting, working what seem to be endless weed-lines; all along we’re thinking, “You never know when Mr. Muskie is going to make your day.”  The seaway has hundreds of miles of prime muskie water, water in which Marc has boated over 800 50”+ muskies.

Intertwined with the casting, we troll to take a break, but it’s really no break at all!  We land some monsters trolling too!

Episode 37
Menominee River Sturgeon
Show Date: September 12th & 13th, 2009
Location: Menominee River; Marinette, Wisconsin
Guide: Bret Alexander [920-851-4214 | alexandersportfishing.com]

The sturgeon catch-and-release season can be some of the best fishing close to home if you live in Wisconsin.  We are fishing with Bret Alexander of alexandersportfishing.com, and Jim Drummond of Yamaha Motorsports.  Targeting these HUGE fish could never be more relaxing, that is until we land one.

We are anchored in the Menominee River in Marinette, Wisconsin.  Using night crawlers coated with Baitmate fish attractant, we cast out into the deep holes that we are anchored just upstream from.  Once we get one of these prehistoric beasts hooked, we are in for a long and exciting battle.

Episode 39
Ultimate Fishing Excursion
Show Date: September 26th & 27th, 2009
Location: Bay of Green Bay; Green Bay, Wisconsin
Guide:
Pro Guide Dale Stroschein [920-743-5731 | wackywalleye.com]

This week we host the winners of a national contest in conjunction with our sponsor Baitmate.  Our two guests, Mike & Kent, won a contest that Baitmate ran in Camping Life Magazine.  They are here all the way from Erie, Pennsylvania.  The name of the contest was “The Ultimate Fishing Excursion,” and do they have quite the day ahead of them.

Like we’ve said many times in the past, we’ve caught the biggest walleye, bass, & whitefish in the nearly 20 years that we have been on the air.  It’s that constant availability of trophy potential, and Dale’s willingness to pursue these beautiful fish with us, that keeps us coming back.

We get our start to the day trolling for walleyes, catching some nice fish, and some for our guest to take back home.  While we limit out easily and quickly for the eater-sized fish, that doesn’t mean that the day is over.  After the walleyes, we head out for some trophy bass fishing, and it’s not a disappointment.
