Guide: Pro Guide Marc Thorpe [450-433-4784 | marcthorpeguiding.com]

It’s the show that we wait for each and every year, heading to Montréal Quebec, Canada to fish some of the best Muskie water on the continent. We are once again guided by professional muskie guide, Marc Thorpe. We are also joined by Pete Maina of The Next Bite/ESOX Angler, and his dad Tex Maina. As you you can see by the title this is part one of a two part episode, the third time in for trips to Montréal that we have had to break up the show into two parts. The entire trip is dedicated to casting, which makes for a very exciting trip. There are even a couple that hit on top-water baits.

Episode 29
Washington Island Bass
Show Date: July 19th & 20th, 2008
Location: Washington Island, Door County, WI
Guide: Charter Captain Dale Stroschein [920-743-5731 | wackywalleye.com]

Its like clockwork when we head out with Dale Stroschein to do some bass fishing. We pretty much always catch some unbelievably huge bass, and this show is no exception. Dale takes us up across “deaths door” on an eerily foggy day to check out the bass fishing around Washington Island. While the visibility isn’t great, the fishing is. Hovering around the crystal clear water in 2-5 feet, we are throwing the wacky worm and spinner baits.

Episode 30
Larry's River Float Trip
Show Date: July 26th & 27th, 2008
Location: Peshtigo River, Peshtigo, WI
Guide: Pro Ice Guide Larry Smith [920-361-4996 | walleyeguide.com]

We headed out for a trip that John hasen't done in 10 years. We floated the Peshtigo River, south of Peshtigo Wisconsin, all the way to the bay of Green Bay. This 12 hour trip brings us away from anything man-made, and you really are in the wilderness. The journey down the river brought some challenges though, mainly shallow spots, where we had Larry's son get out and direct the boat to deeper water. The fishing was good too, catching bass and northern in river current proved to be really fun. These fish really fight hard as we were fighting the river current.
