Episode 49

Walleyes at Night

Show Date: December 3, 2022

Location: Fox River, Green Bay, Wisconsin

Guide: Brett Jolly [715-581-5678 | captainjollycharters.com]

We were able to get Brett Jolly out of his house for one final trip down the Fox River in Green Bay before winter.  It was a cold snowy day, and we didn’t get much action until the sun set.  Once the sun went down, the walleyes got aggressive!  Getting a good cast into the current was the key, and the Kalin’s Grub brought the most success.

Episode 50

Lake Michigan Madness

Show Date: December 10, 2022

Location: Lake Michigan, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Guide: Captain Caleb Zorn [262-515-7944]

This week’s episode was the best day we’ve ever had on Lake Michigan.  It is not an exaggeration to say that we could have used another net on multiple occasions, because we had 2 or 3 fish on at the same time!  “Neon Dion” joins us in the boat along with Henry Abbott, and Blake.  Vertical jigging a Kastmaster, or similar is what works best, but even a jerk minnow did the trick a few times.  As Dion put it, this will be a trip that we remember for a long time!

Episode 51

First Ice on the Mississippi River

Show Date: December 17, 2022

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin

Guide: Vince Moldenhauer [(414) 791-5534 | greatriveroutdoorsllc.com]

We have finally found good ice, all we need is an airboat to get there. Vince Moldenhauer has been doing these ice trips a while now, and what we love the most about it, is getting to good fishing when others can’t.  He’s got lots of spots, and always seems to put us on fish.

We’re jigging tungsten jigs, as well as Kastmasters, but also have tip-dows set with live minnows.  We catch fish with both methods, which makes it an exciting day on the ice.

Episode 52

Minnesota Walleyes and Panfish

Show Date: December 24th, 2022

Location: Longville, Minnesota

Guide: Crazy Loon Guide Service - Ryley Hansen ‭(507) 217-1276‬

We’re excited to be back in Longville with our old buddy Rusty “The Big Swede” and a great group of people to hit the ice, and look for walleyes and panfish.  We start out the evening of day 1 set up for walleyes, using Beaver Dam’s, as well as jigging spoons. Day 2 is an absolute blast, as we switch to a hot panfish bite, catching jumbo crappies and bluegills all in the same spot.
