Non-Stop Coho Action

Show Date: July 3rd, 2021

Location: Kenosha, Wisconsin

Guide: Charter Captain Al Johnson [262-620-2976]

This week we are down in Kenosha on the shore of Lake Michigan to show a great group of friends from Johnson Outdoors what an excellent fishery we have so close to (our) home.

We’re out with Capt. Al Johnson a few miles offshore, using flashers and flies; along with Cannon downriggers trolling in around 100 feet of water.  Joining us on the trip are longtime friend Jeff Kolodzinski of Johnson Outdoors, and two of his colleagues, both of whom are named Megan.

On days like we had, there is so much excitement, that there is no time to rest.  Almost constantly someone is reeling a fish in, and these fish are excellent table fare.

Episode 28

Summer on Lake Erie

Show Date: July 10th, 2021

Location: Lake Erie, Port Clinton, Ohio

Guide: Charter Captain Mike Patterson [419-308-6925 | mikessportfishing.com]

If you like to catch and eat fish, then you need to head to Ohio, and get out on Lake Erie with Captain Mike Patterson.  Mike knows these waters well, and we know that Lake Erie is a walleye factory.  Mike had told us that there have been a few very good year classes recently, and that getting a limit is always the goal.

We’re setting up a drift to cover a lot of water, and luckily there is just about the right wind for most of our trip.  Casting out spinner rigs with nightcrawlers is what is getting bites, but you need to get the right speed, which can be tricky to accomplish coupled with the drift speed of the

Episode 29

The Beautiful Flambeau Flowage

Show Date: June 17ht, 2021

Location: The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage, Iron County, Wisconsin

Guide: Pro Guide Jeff Winters [715-385-9313 | jeffsguideservice.com]

We have a lot of beautiful scenery in the northern part of the state of Wisconsin, and this week we’re seeing one of the best.  We are fishing the Turtle Flambeau Flowage, a massive body of water in Iron County.  The Flowage encompasses 16 natural lakes, three rivers and several creeks, and lots of fish.  The great thing about the flowage is that 90% is state owned, and undeveloped.  It is a protected wilderness area, so the beautiful scenery and great fishing will be around for a long time to come.

We’re out on the Flowage with a trusted guide, Jeff Winters, who has been fishing these waters more years than he’d probably want to admit.  With all of those years of experience, Jeff knows where to go to find fish, and what shallow spots and danger areas to avoid.  Along with our crew is Jeff's son-in-law, Ed, who also guides.

With all of this experience aboard, there’s no reason we’d expect to have a bad day, and to nobody’s surprise, we have an absolute blast all day!

Episode 30

Excellent Walleye Bite on the Bay

Show Date: July 24th, 2021

Location: Lake Michigan, Oconto County, Wisconsin

Guide: Brett Jolly [715-581-5678 | captainjollycharters.com]

This week we’re out with Captain Brett Jolly on the Bay of Green Bay, looking for walleyes.  Also joining us is Brett’s buddy Matt, because Brett tells us we will need help setting lines, and reeling in fish.  He wasn’t kidding, as soon as we started getting our crankbaits in the water, we started catching fish, in fact, we rarely had all eight lines in at the same time.

In just one few mile run, we had a limit of fish, and a fantastic time on the water.

Episode 31

This week we’re excited to get Ryan the photographer out on the boat to go fishing, not just film it.  Ryan has observed many years of angling action, and now he’s going to take part. We’re fishing a lake we’ve never been on, and with a few tips from guide Rob Manthei, we head out to see what the lake will give us.
