We’re excited to get a great group of people back into Canada for our annual sponsor trip.  We had to skip Canada last year, but with the border reopened, everyone was thrilled to get back to Andy Myers Lodge, and Eagle Lake.  

It’s fall, and fall means fat Muskies, so that’s what we concentrate on this trip.  Our guide, and longtime friend Danny Herbeck, focuses almost exclusively on Muskie this time of year, so he knows where to go, and what tactics to use.

Eagle Lake Fall Fishing

We’re still at Andy Myers Lodge for the conclusion of our annual sponsor outing, this time heading out to target walleye, bass, and pike.  Eagle Lake is a fantastic fishing destination, not only because of the opportunity to catch a monster fish, but to be able to target a wide variety of species as well.  This week we’re once again cruising around with pro guide Danny Herbeck, who has consistently had triple-digit days walleye fishing, and knows plenty of bass spots to mix it up too.  This time of year, as all the fish are feeding heading into the winter, is the best time to catch a personal record sized  fish.

Northwest Angle on Lake of the Woods

We’re back on the Lake of the Woods, fishing out of the Northwest Angle of Minnesota, on the hunt for the sometimes elusive muskie.  

Pete Maina is our captain, along with Christian Laettner, both of whom have many years experience fishing this body of water.  Between the both of them, we’ve got a lot of spots to choose from, and get a pattern going to find the fish. We try a combination of jigging, casting, and suckers; all of which get the attention of these Esox. 

We love getting out in the boat for this trip each year!
